I asked my aunt for some of her favorite recipes so that they don't get forgotten over time and this is one of them!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup grits
  • 3/4 t. salt
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 stick cheese (sharp chedder or garlic)
  • 2 eggs & milk to make 3/4 cup liquid

How To...

Boil water & salt. Add grits. Cook on low til thickened (about 10 minutes or less). Stir in other ingredients. Pour into greased 9×9 dish. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

  1. We made these a little healthier by only a 1/2 stick of butter and water instead of milk... turned out great!
