A little cheese and tomatillo salsa add extra flavor to regular cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1 - 8.5 oz box Jiffy corn muffin mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 4 oz shredded chedder or jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup salsa verde (tomatillo salsa)

How To...


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease 8 muffin cups (or use paper cups) or 8 – 9 inch pie pan. Mix all ingredients (will be lumpy). Let rest for 3-5 minutes. Fill cups or pie pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
