The absolute best cornbread ever; great for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Wednesdays.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of Butter
  • 2 tbsp of Olive Oil
  • 1 8-oz package Fresh Mushrooms
  • 1 C of Celery
  • 9x12 inch pan Cornbread
  • 1 tsp of Salt
  • .5 tsp of Pepper
  • 2 C of Chicken Broth
  • 5 pieces Dried White Bread
  • 1/2 sleeve Saltine Crackers

How To...


1. Melt 2 Tbsp. butter with oil in a large skillet over medium heat; add mushrooms, celery, and bell pepper, saute 9 minutes.

2. Crumble cornbread, white bread, and saltine crackers into large mixing bowl. Stir in mushroom mixture, eggs, herbs/salt/pepper and chicken broth

3. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes until golden
