These open-face gourmet sandwiches serve two in 30 minutes and feature the fresh, delicious taste of avocado and tomato.
Ingredients
- 2 Pillsbury® Grands!® frozen buttermilk or southern style biscuits
- 2 tablespoons creamy Caesar dressing
- 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 small avocado, pitted and peeled
- 1 medium Roma (plum) tomato, sliced
- 1 tablespoon bacon bits or chips
Method
<p>Step 1
Heat oven to 375°F. Bake biscuits as directed on bag; place on cooling rack. Cool 5 minutes. Set oven control to broil.</p>
<p>Step 2
Carefully split each biscuit; place on cookie sheet. Brush cut sides with dressing; sprinkle with cheese. Broil with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 1 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.</p>
<p>Step 3
In small bowl, mash avocado to desired consistency. Spoon avocado over cheese; top with tomato slices, pressing down slightly. Sprinkle with bacon bits.</p>
