Yummy Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 3.5 cups of milk
  • 1 stick (6 tablespoons) of unsalted butter
  • Paprika or Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • Black Pepper
  • Salt (Regular or Seasoned Salt)
  • Garlic (grated)
  • Gruyere Cheese (grated)
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (one bag of shredded)
  • Whole wheat elbow pasta (about 1 pound)

Method


<p>Preheat oven at 350-375 degrees.</p> <p>Pasta</p> <p>Boil water and add in pasta. Make sure pasta is less than al dente since you are baking it</p> <p>Sauce - make sure to keep stirring the sauce for thickness and to prevent curdling 1. Heat the milk until its warm (not boiled) 2. Add in 3/4 of the butter stick into the milk and make sure it is melted in the milk 3. Slowly add in the flour (mix in 1/4th of flour at a time) 4. Slowly add in the sharp cheddar cheese and gruyere cheese. This will then make the sauce thick. 4. Mix the remaining butter with Panko breadcrumbs.</p> <p>In a casserole, stir in the sauce and pasta. Spread the breadcrumbs and bake dish for 30 minutes!</p>
