What makes this recipe so easy is that it isn't really baked!
Add a few pinches of salt to boiling water and cook ziti according to package directions. Meanwhile, heat two cups of the sauce over low in a large pot. Drain cooked pasta and add to heated tomato sauce. Stir in ricotta cheese and simmer until heated through. Pour mixture into a large, lightly greased baking dish. Pour remaining pasta sauce over the ziti layer, and then top with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Broil immediately in oven until cheeses are melted and bubbly. Servings: 4.
Serve with bread, salad, and a good Italian wine like a Chianti (red) or Pinot Grigio (white).
