Sugar Ghosts are a simple yet delicious idea to make with your little goblins this Halloween! As much fun to make as they are to eat, these are perfect for school and Halloween parties!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Tsp. Almond Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Cream of Tartar
  • 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • Black Decorating Gel Icing

Method


Combine powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, almond extract and egg in a large bowl.   Beat well together Add flour, baking powder and cream of tartar.  Mix well.  Wrap in plastic and place in freezer for 25 to 30 minutes Heat oven to 375 degrees.   Grease cookie sheets lightly.  Divide dough in half and roll out to 1/4″ thick on lightly floured surface.  Cut into shapes and sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.  Cool on rack.  Decorate with black gel icing These are super easy to make, decorate and transport to all your Halloween parties! 3 Dozen
