Fun and easy (and recipient of rave reviews) .. a Perfect Party Food. These are little cheeseburgers!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (85/15 works well)
  • 2 teaspoons steak seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Paula Deen's Silly Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 20 (1-inch) slices Cheddar

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine beef, seasoning, silly salt, pepper and onion in a large bowl. Mix like you would hamburgers.

Hand form meatballs about the size of a golf ball.

Heat a grooved black skillet with some olive oil. Place meatballs in skillet, and flatten using a wooden spoon. This will form a hamburger patty.

Cook to medium, turning once.

Roll out thawed puff pastry (takes 40 minutes to thaw).

Cut 10 (6-inch) even panels. Place burger in center of square and top with 2 slices of cheese.

Fold edges up and twist on top. Bake 20 to 25 minutes and serve warm.

Paula Deen Silly Salt is a blend of salt, dehydrated onion and garlic, spices, soybean oil, and lemon flavor.
