Substitute butter for avocado in your brownies for a healthy alternative!

Ingredients

  • 2 avocados (about 2/3 cup)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted chocolate
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Mash avocado in a large bowl.
  3. Add melted chocolate and mix until smooth.
  4. Add cocoa, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Avocado will always give a slightly chunky texture to the batter.
  5. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until smooth.
  6. Add chocolate chips for texture.
  7. Pour into pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
