Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies
Old Fashioned, made from scratch Sugar Cookies, that will melt in your mouth.
Ingredients
- 1 c Crisco shortening
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 2 3/4 c All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
Method
In a large bowl,cream shortning and sugar well. Mix in eggs and vanilla.Set aside. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.Gradually add to mixture in large bowl. Dough will form a ball. Place ball of dough in plastic wrap and place in fridge for at least 3 hrs. Roll dough out to 1/8 thick. Cut with floured cookie cutters. Decorate with sugars, as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for about 9-11 min. Cool & enjoy!
