Raw Vegan Breakfast Treat

I used to call this my Raw Vegan Oatmeal, but Dan made me stop, because it doesn't include any oats, and Dan despises misnomers. So behold, my RAW VEGAN BREAKFAST TREAT! :D haha


  • The basic components of this recipe are:
  • 1 banana
  • 1 serving, which is generally about 2-3 tbsp, ground seeds and/or nuts of your choice. I've found you can use a combination of up to 3 different nuts or seeds. My favourites to use are raw shelled hemp seeds and raw, ground flax seeds (1-1.5 tbsp of each).
  • Sweetener of your choice (I like raw honey or maple syrup)
  • And any other toppings you would typically put on oatmeal!


Grind the seeds (unless pre-ground, or they don't need grinding, like hemp seeds) Mash banana Combine seeds/nuts, banana and sweetener Add any other toppings you might like (Cinnamom and apple chunks perhaps? Dried cranberries and walnut pieces? the sky's the limit.)
